Lifting Club Friedrichshain – Your Strength Training Gym in Berlin

What makes a good Lifting Club? Why small group training closes the gap between the big-box gym and expensive personal training — and how the Lifting Club in Friedrichshain does exactly that.

Looking for real strength training in Berlin-Friedrichshain isn't always easy. The big chains promise a lot — and deliver anonymous training among hundreds of people, without anyone knowing your name, let alone your training plan. On the other side sits classic personal training: effective, but for many people simply too expensive to use regularly.

That's exactly the gap the Lifting Club at Spree Intense Fitness in Berlin-Friedrichshain fills.

What Is the Lifting Club?

The Lifting Club is not a standard class and not anonymous group training. It's small group personal training — with everything that makes individual coaching work, but in a group format at fair prices.

A maximum of six people per group. That's not a marketing line, it's a firm rule. Because from seven people on, a coach loses a real overview of each individual. With six members it's different: every repetition, every movement, every body position is visible — and gets corrected.

Your Individual Training Plan

What fundamentally sets the Lifting Club apart from a normal class: every member gets their own, individually written training plan. Not a one-size-fits-all plan that everyone works through at the same time. A plan built around your goals, your fitness level and any physical limitations.

That plan is written personally by Nico Peschke — the gym owner and head coach of Spree Intense Fitness. Nico brings over 20 years of experience as a personal trainer in Berlin. He knows what works and what doesn't. And he knows that a plan only really works when it fits the person following it.

Progressive and Structured

Training without progression is training in place. In the Lifting Club, that's systematically ruled out: your plan is periodized, meaning it builds on itself deliberately and progressively. Weights, sets, repetitions — everything follows a considered scheme that keeps challenging you without overloading you.

Regular progress measurements make sure you know where you stand — and where you're headed. Every few weeks there's a body composition analysis on the InBody scale, plus a check-in conversation with your coach.

Fair and Transparent

Individual coaching doesn't have to be expensive — at least not if you use the group format intelligently. In the Lifting Club, training starts at €195 per month for once a week, or €320 for twice a week. That's a fraction of what you'd pay for comparable personal training.

No hidden costs. No long contract terms with no perspective. Three months minimum term — that's all it takes to produce real results.

The Right Place

Spree Intense Fitness sits in Friedrichshain, not far from Kreuzberg and Mitte. The gym is fully equipped — barbells, kettlebells, cable machines, rack systems. Everything needed for effective strength training. Nothing that distracts.

If the Lifting Club sounds interesting, you start with a free 60-minute first appointment: InBody analysis, movement check, trial session and an honest conversation about your goals. After that you'll know exactly whether the Lifting Club is right for you.

Who Is the Lifting Club For?

For everyone who takes strength training seriously — or finally wants to. Beginner or advanced, 25 or 55. The Lifting Club isn't a format for a particular body type or a particular fitness level. It's a format for people who want to train with structure, progression and real coach support.

What it isn't: a place for people who just want to train somewhere without anyone noticing. If you want to stay invisible, there are cheaper options. If you really want to get stronger, the Lifting Club in Friedrichshain is exactly right.
