What is HYROX?

HYROX is more than a fitness competition. It is the global race series that combines functional training with endurance: eight one-kilometre runs, each followed by a functional station. Always the same order, anywhere in the world – which is why your time is comparable and your progress measurable.

Training for HYROX in Berlin means covering all three pillars: functional technique, strength and endurance. That is exactly what our training in Berlin-Friedrichshain is built for – in small groups of up to six people, so every rep gets corrected and nobody just goes through the motions.

HYROX Sled Pull Training – Spree Intense Fitness Berlin-Friedrichshain

All eight stations – covered in training

Every station has its own technique. We train them separately before putting them together at race pace.

01

SkiErg

1,000 m – technique on the pull decides your time.

02

Sled Push

50 m – the station where most races are won or lost.

03

Sled Pull

50 m – grip strength and body position under load.

04

Burpee Broad Jumps

80 m – breathing rhythm beats speed.

05

Rowing

1,000 m – an even split instead of an early sprint.

06

Farmers Carry

200 m – grip, core and nerves.

07

Sandbag Lunges

100 m – the station you cannot fake without training it.

08

Wall Balls

75 or 100 reps – at the end it is technique, not willpower.

What to expect

Structured programme

Training blocks covering all eight stations plus running. Progressive build-up instead of random workouts.

In a group or as personal training – depending on your goal and your race date.

A consistent coaching team

The same coaches who know your technique over weeks. No rotating staff, no anonymous classes.

Race simulations

Built into the plan regularly – so you know how your pace feels over the full distance before race day.

Who is it for?

HYROX at Spree Intense Fitness is open to every level. We build the training around where you are – not the other way round.

You have heard of HYROX and want to find out whether it suits you. We start with technique and base endurance.

Recreational athletes

You want to finish your first race properly. We build distance and pacing step by step.

Experienced athletes

You are chasing a personal best or the pro division. We work on transitions, race pace and the stations costing you time.

HYROX Training in Berlin – FAQ

Do I need race experience to join?

+

No. Our HYROX training in Berlin scales to every level. Beginners start with technique and base endurance, advanced athletes work on race pace and the transitions between stations.

How long should I train before my first race?

+

As a rule of thumb, eight to twelve weeks with two to three sessions per week. Consistency matters more than total duration – and having actually practised the stations beforehand.

Do I have to be a good runner?

+

No. In HYROX it is rarely pure running speed that decides the race, but how well you get back into running after each station. Those transitions are exactly what we train.

Can I prepare for doubles?

+

Yes. Doubles mainly changes how you split the stations and how you pace. We build the corresponding setups into training if you are racing with a partner.

Where does the training take place?

+

In our gym at Rotherstraße 20 in Berlin-Friedrichshain, a few minutes from Ostkreuz and Warschauer Straße.

Do you have a pool or aqua fitness classes?

+

No. We are a strength and functional training gym only: Lifting Club, Functional Strength, HYROX training and personal training. No pool, no sauna, no aqua classes.
